eTED recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to our profession. The recipients from each award category are recognized at our annual summer conference. These individuals then represent Georgia eTED as GACTE selects their state-wide winner for each award category.

The Executive Committee, consisting of the President, President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer, is elected by the Georgia eTED membership.

Board Nominations

Board Nominations for 2023 2024 - Due by 2/28/23

  • President-elect (3 year term)

  • Vice President (3 year term)

  • Secretary (2 year term)

Qualifications

The President elect shall:

  • Be a professional ACTE/GACTE/Georgia eTED member in good standing for at least four (4) consecutive years.

  • Be a recognized leader in the division.

  • Promote all phases of career and technical education and be willing to lend support to all divisions of GACTE.

  • Support and promote the Program of Work of the Association.

  • Be able to give a sufficient amount of time to carry out the duties of the office. (NOTE: The President-Elect will be expected to attend all meetings of the Georgia eTED Board of Directors which meets monthly and oversee Committee chairs for the division.


The president-elect shall serve for a period of one year prior to assuming the duties of the president. The president-elect shall perform such duties as directed by the Board of Directors and/or the Executive Committee.

The Vice - President shall:

  • Be a professional ACTE/GACTE/Georgia eTED member in good standing for at least three (3) consecutive years.

  • Be a recognized leader in the division.

  • Promote all phases of career and technical education and be willing to lend support to all divisions of GACTE.

  • Support and promote the Strategic Plan of the Association.

  • Be able to give a sufficient amount of time to carry out the duties of the office.

  • Be primary Liaison between GACTE/Georgia eTED Division and related partners of GACTE.

  • Perform duties as directed by Georgia eTED Board of Directors and GACTE Board of directors.


The Treasurer shall:

  • Be a professional ACTE/GACTE member in good standing for at least three (3) consecutive years.

  • Be a recognized leader in the division.

  • Promote all phases of career and technical education and be willing to lend support to all divisions of GACTE.

  • Support and promote the Strategic Plan of the Association.

  • Be able to give a sufficient amount of time to carry out the duties of the office.


The Secretary shall:

  • Be a professional ACTE/GACTE member in good standing for at least three (3) consecutive years.

  • Be a recognized leader in the division.

  • Promote all phases of career and technical education and be willing to lend support to all divisions of GACTE.

  • Support and promote the Strategic Plan of the Association.

  • Be able to give a sufficient amount of time to carry out the duties of the office.
